Help with College Costs:
Doctoral students will have their tuition covered for up to three years, while master’s students will have theirs covered for up to two. A candidate will pay for international students’ medical coverage for the duration of their studies abroad.
- However, the GUIPRS fee does not suffice to fulfill the award’s responsibility to pay for tuition expenses for the duration of the program award.

A prospective GUIPRS participant must:
- You are not a New Zealand citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a holder of a Permanent Humanitarian Australian Visa, and you are not a national student, as those terms are used in Australia.
- When you begin or return to study at Griffith University (where GUITARS funding is available), you’ll be eligible for this award.
- If you are applying for a Commonwealth Government Grant or scholarship to pay for your HDR program’s tuition, but you are also applying for GUIPRS, you will not be considered for either.
